          There was a tree who witnessed true love through a promise that was carved on it, "James love Devon FOREVER". They decided that it will be their tree. 10 years later, Devon went back there to see if it's still there and was surprised to see that James is also there. They talked and shared their experiences, then an old lady passed by and asked Devon.


Lady: Who are you talking to?
Devon: The one I love. (looked at James and smiled)
Lady: You're joking right? You're talking to yourself! Don't you know that there's a lost soul here? A guy was killed here for saving that tree against loggers. (then walked away, afraid)


        Devon looked at James, then he said...


        "I kept our promise...", then disappeared.

          Two lovers had to go on separate ways, James will study in an exclusive school for boys in a foreign country. James wanted to talk to Devon before his flight but she refused. Early next day, Devon watched the news that a plane crashed and a lot of teenager boys died, that was the flight of James, she thought. With so much pain, she committed suicide, James was her everything, without him, her life will be nothing too. She killed herself by cutting her wrist.


          After a few minutes, her phone rang. James left her message because she's not answering. The message said:


          "Babe, I miss the flight because I waited for you for so long, eh hindi ka naman dumating. Just want you to know that I'm fine, I miss you babe. Please call me. I love you!"

          It was one summer day when James and Devon decided to break up. Many we're shocked for their relationship was so ideal. Everybody knows how they love each other. Nobody knows the real reason of their break-up.


          Years later, Devon was asked by Jamaica, daughter of Tricia, her bestfriend.


Jamaica: Tita, did you ever had a boyfriend before?
Devon: Yeah, we loved each other so much but we decided to call it off.
Jamaica: Why?


          And teary-eyed she replied...


          "So that you may have someone to call Dad."

James: Hi Devon. (smiled) “You’re still gorgeous as ever!”

Devon: Hi James. (smiled) “Ang gwapo mo pa rin!”

James: How are you? “I was an idiot when I left you.”

Devon: I’m okay. “Ikaw pa rin laman ng isip ko.”

James: How’s your lovelife? “The guy must be so lucky to have you.”

Devon: Okay naman. “It's still you, James.”

James: I gotta go, Mr. M is calling me. “I still love you Devon, I hope we will be together again.”

Devon: Okay, bye! “I still love you, pero paalam muna James.”

                James was about to marry Ann, their parents decided on their own without even consulting them. Ann loves James, that’s why she never argued about the arranged wedding. It was their wedding day. Devon, James’ ex-girlfriend went on the church to attend a mass not knowing its James’ wedding day. She was surprised to see James standing outside the church together with his parents and friends. She had a glimpse of what’s inside the church and was surprised for what she saw and heard. She saw James walked away, and she followed him. She approached James crying, and confronted him.

Devon: How dare you choose my dream gown as your bride’s gown? How dare you pick my favorite color as your motif? How dare you choose our theme song as your wedding song? How dare you choose my favorite flowers to put on your bride’s bouquet?!

                She’s hitting James with all her might, trying to make him feel her hurt. James held her hand and hugged her tight.

James: I’m sorry but I did those things because that’s the only way I know that I can pretend that you’re my bride.

                Devon baked a cake for her bestfriend James, because it’s his birthday.

Devon: Happy birthday James! I baked a cake for you.

James: Really? Thank you!

Devon: Here, make a wish.

                James started to wish and blown the candles.

Devon: What did you wish for?

James: I wished that my bestfriend would love me the same way as I do love her.

Devon: Am I pretty?

James: No.

Devon: Do you like me?

James: No.

Devon: If I leave you, would you cry?

                Having heard enough, Devon turned to walk away with tears streaming down her face. James held her arm and turned to her.

James: You’re not pretty because you are beautiful! I don’t like you because I love you! And the moment you leave, I will not just cry, because I will surely die!

Devon: Really? (still crying)

James: Really. Don’t ask me those stupid questions again, okay?

                James’ first love was a young girl in a picture which he found and picked from the street when he was still 10 years old. As time goes by, he had a girlfriend, Devon. They were madly in love with each other and can’t live without the other. They got married but James still kept the picture in his wallet.

                One day, Devon found it.

Devon: James, where did you get this?

James: Oh, that’s nothing Babe. I just found it on the street and decided to keep it. Don’t worry, I found that when I was 10, don’t think that she might be my child.

Devon: No, I don’t. I lost this picture when I was nine.

James: Really? You mean this is you?

Devon: Yeah.

James: So it’s destiny that came my way. And we were destined for each other. (smiled)

                Ann and her boyfriend James talked, he is begging na maghiwalay na sila. Umiyak si Ann at narinig iyon ni Devon, best friend ni Ann.

Devon: James! Ba’t umiiyak si Ann?

James: I’m begging her to let me go. I don’t really love her Devon.

Devon: Ano? Matapos ang lahat?

Ann: James, please, don’t leave me.

James: No, I’m sick and tired of this relationship! Sakal na sakal na ako Ann, hindi ko na kaya.

                Nainis si Devon at sinampal si James. Nagulat man si James, hinablot niya si Devon at mariing hinalikan sa labi. Kapwa gulat ang mag-best friend sa ginawa ni James.

James: All my life, ikaw lang minahal ko. Eh kaso, gusto mo sa bestfriend mo ako mapunta, at ngayon nakiki-alam ka. Nagagalit ka ba dahil sinaktan ko ang best friend mo? Or nagagalit ka because you can’t accept na dahil sayo, nasaktan ko siya?!

                A girl was teasing her bestfriend.

Devon: Hoy, ikaw talaga! Pinaiyak mo na naman si Tricia.

James: It’s not my fault, hindi niya lang matanggap na hindi ko siya mahal.

Devon: Eh sino ba kasi totoo mong mahal?

James: Basta, hindi ko masabi sayo eh.

Devon: Bakit? Ilang babae na ba minahal mo?

James: Bakit? Ilan ka ba? Diba isa ka lang?

100 DAYS

                One day, there were two teenagers sitting on a bench. The guy is looking at nowhere while the girl is watching some lovers around them. They were once schoolmates, classmates during their elementary years.

Devon: Hey James! Do you have a girlfriend? Aren’t you jealous looking at the lovers around us?

James: Nope, I don’t have a girlfriend, and why should I be jealous?

Devon: Aren’t you bored being alone?

James: Bored, but I have no one to call “mine”.

Devon: Ahm, okay, I have a proposal to you. What if I’ll be your girlfriend and you’ll be my boyfriend for 100 days. After 100 days, we’ll decide if we continue our relationship or not, deal?

James: Hmmmm.. Sounds fun. Okay! Deal!

Devon: And this is going to be our first day. (smiled)

                After the conversation, they went mall hopping and ate ice cream on an ice cream bar.

5^th day: James helped Devon make her project at school.

11^th day: James and Devon babysitted Jonas, Mrs.Sandoval’s son, they went at the zoo.

20^th day: They watched a band concert at a megamall.

26^th day: James bought a necklace with a locket, inside are their pictures and gave it to Devon.

35^th day: It’s James’ birthday, Devon got the chance to meet his family.

44^th day: James accompanied Devon to a party. They had so much fun.

52^nd day: They watched the movie “Amnesia Girl”.

60^th day: They auditioned at the school’s Talent Search Competition and they got a position.

68^th day: Devon’s mom was rushed to the hospital, they both spend the night together to look after her mom.

74^th day: They won at the competition, they celebrated and ate dinner with their friends.

80^th day: They had a dinner at a first-class restaurant. James played the piano and sang the song “Angel” and dedicated it to Devon.

87^th day: They watched a meteor shower and Devon murmured something.

93^rd day: It’s Devon’s birthday, James gave her a ring, and it was the first time that he said “I love you” to Devon. She only smiled.

99^th day…

10 pm

They went back to the park where they had a deal with each other.

James: Do you want something to drink?

Devon: Kinda.

James: Okay, I’ll buy you a can of soft drink, wait for me, okay?

                Devon’s been waiting for almost an hour but James hasn’t come back yet. She’s so worried until a man rushed to her.

Man: Miss, is the guy with blue shirt, skinny jeans, and black rubber shoes your friend?

Devon: Yeah, why? What happened? (she’s beginning to feel something went wrong)

Man: A group of gangsters just beat him up, he’s almost half-dead. He’s critical!

                Devon rushed to see James, the man was right, he’s critical. They went to the nearest hospital.

11:15 pm

                While the doctor is checking James, Devon called his parents and told them what happened. The doctor went out and she was beside him the whole time. He’s sleeping soundly.

11:57 pm

                Finally, James woke up but he’s still struggling.

Devon: James! Thank God you woke up. Are you alright? (held his hand)

James: No, I’m not. I know I’m gonna die so soon, I just want to say goodbye properly. (he said struggling)

Devon: No, don’t say that. You’re gonna live. (she’s starting to cry)

James: Devon, this is our 99^th day together. I want you to know that I enjoyed being with you…and… I love you.

Devon: Remember the day when we watched meteor shower? I wished that we will be together forever. Please don’t go James, I love you so much!

                Devon’s phone alarmed, a reminder saying “100^th day anniversary”. Suddenly, James’ life meter is beeping. Devon saw a straight line on the monitor. James is no longer alive. It’s their 100^th day together, the end of their relationship and the end of James life.
